1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly:

• Full name, phone number, and business/shop name during registration

• Business Category selection and related business details

• Sales, customer, inventory, and credit ledger (বাকি খাতা) data you enter

• For Personal Savings category Users: income, expense, savings location, and lending/borrowing records

• Payment-related metadata (transaction reference, amount, timestamp) - DokaanDigit does not store your bKash PIN, OTP, or full mobile wallet credentials

1.2 Information Collected Automatically:

• Device type, operating system, and app version

• Usage patterns (features used, frequency of login) to improve the Service

• Approximate location (city/district level) where required for SMS delivery routing

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

NTechEdge does not sell or rent your personal or business data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Payment Processing: bKash Limited and other approved MFS/payment providers, solely to process your subscription and point purchase payments

• SMS/Communication Providers: BulkSMSBD or equivalent providers, solely to deliver the SMS/WhatsApp messages you request the App to send

• Cloud Infrastructure: MongoDB Atlas and hosting providers, solely for secure data storage

• Legal Requirements: where required by Bangladeshi law, court order, or a competent government authority

• With Your Consent: where you have explicitly agreed to share information with a third party (e.g., linking an external accounting tool)

4. Your Business Customers' Data

Where you (the Merchant) enter data about your own customers (name, phone number, amount owed) into the বাকি খাতা or Invoice features, you act as the data controller for that customer's information, and DokaanDigit acts as your data processor. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate consent from your customers to store and use their data - including sending them SMS/WhatsApp reminders - in accordance with applicable Bangladeshi law.

6. Data Retention & Export

You may export your Sales, Customer, and Inventory data at any time via the built-in Export to Excel/CSV feature. Upon account closure, you may request a full data export within 30 days by contacting privacy@dokaandigit.com; after this period, data is subject to the retention schedule above.

7. Your Rights

• Right to access a copy of your personal data

• Right to correct inaccurate data

• Right to request deletion of your data, subject to the tax/legal retention requirements above

• Right to export your data in a portable format (Excel/CSV)

• Right to withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time

8. Children's Privacy

DokaanDigit is intended for use by individuals aged 18 and above operating or managing a business, or managing personal finances. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child's data has been submitted to us, contact privacy@dokaandigit.com immediately for removal.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification, SMS, or WhatsApp at least 14 days before taking effect.
